I was born in Chapel Hill, North Carolina to Kay and Bruce Geyer. I was raised in Germantown, Maryland where I went to Seneca Valley High School and played softball, volleyball, and basketball. I went to undergrad at American University in Tenleytown, Washington, D.C. where I played for and helped found the first DC collegiate women's ice hockey team. (Go Lady Eagles!) I went to graduate school at George Washington in Foggy Bottom, Washington, D.C. and came out with two years of legislative experience from the Maryland General Assembly and a Master's in Public Policy. After living in Crystal City (twice), Silver Spring (twice), Annapolis (twice), the Trinidad neighborhood of D.C., Bethesda, Logan Circle (DC), and Des Moines, Iowa... well, I currently reside in a home I hope not to leave for some time. The most beautiful, sweet, and joyful historic neighborhood you'd ever hope to meet - Mt. Pleasant, Washington, D.C.
